RE-LAUNCHING for our 11th Year of Excellent Live Music in Totnes... Community, Cakes, Chai & Quality.

Acoustic Haven is a unique community managed top quality live music night in Devon.

Entirely run by volunteers and offering a uniquely intimate colourful, and cosy atmosphere once a month.... it's been described as a 'pop-up oasis' and a 'rare and special gem in the South West...'

if you have been to one you will know just how special it is.

Tickets are available online through www.wegottickets.com (search for Acoustic Haven), or in Totnes at 'Earth Food Love', the zero waste whole-food shop at the top of the narrows.

We've been hosting these events on the last friday of each month, each winter since 2007.

Acoustic Haven started at Bowden House from a wish to create an inspiring, intimate, and nourishing night.

There have been some exceptional musicians come to play, and the mix of music is always interesting and engaging. The sound quality is of a very high standard, now provided by students at DBS Sound in Plymouth, using state of the art PA and recording gear.

You can find out more information about dBs courses at dbsmusic.co.uk.

The venue is the beautiful 3 storey St John's Church, originally built in 1832, and then made into a light and flexible community space with a big hall and meeting room following a devastating fire in 1976. If you want to hire the church for an event or support its work in any way then visit their website here.

For live-music in Devon there is simply nothing like this event. Many artists including Martha Tilston have said it is their 'Favourite Gig' to play at, and you will understand why. Brilliant decorations by Mike Boyer, with original artworks projected throughout the building, and lighting by Clive Dragon in the music space... silks and colours throughout, cafe serving delicious home-made cakes and organic soups, plus hand-made Chai Tea... a bar downstairs with some locally brewed ales from the New Lion Brewery, and Albert Inn over the road.

It's a place to meet friends, be inspired, and warm away any winter blues.

And all the proceeds from the event are shared between the artists and two local land-based projects. The Hillyfield on Dartmoor which is caring for 46 acres of mixed ancient woodland and pasture, and The Living Projects in Dartington which is providing a space for young people to connect to community and the earth through their varied events.

If you want to volunteer to help make the event even better - then please get in touch using the contact button under the 'about' tab at the top.

Due to the limited size of the venue it is possible we can sell out so please book early to avoid disappointment. It is best to buy a ticket for your children in advance. Children under 12 are half price.

Enjoy :)
